About me

Hi! I’m Sergio, a wine expert with a deep passion for Sardinia’s rich viticultural heritage.

Originally from Italy, I now live Brussels, Belgium. While my professional career is rooted in economics, wine has gradually become more than just an interest — it’s a true passion that fills most of my time outside of work.

Moving to Belgium opened my eyes to a world beyond Italian wine, sparking a deep curiosity for French wines and eventually leading me to explore vineyards far and wide. To truly understand and appreciate wine, I immersed myself in serious study, earning the WSET Diploma in Wines in 2022 — just one (big, very big) step away from the prestigious Master of Wine!

With my knowledge enriched, I felt a strong pull back to my roots. Part of my family comes from Sardinia, and I wanted to rediscover the island’s wines with a fresh perspective. This blog is my way of sharing Sardinia’s incredible wines, history, and culture with the world.

Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just beginning to explore, I hope to take you on a journey through Sardinia’s unique vineyards, native grape varieties, and time-honored winemaking traditions.
